The Centre wants everyone to be able to use this website. It is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What this means in practice
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a “skip to main content” link.
- Text and interface colours meet AA contrast ratios.
- Charts can be explored with the arrow keys and every chart has a data table. The power map has a full table of plants.
- Colour is never the only way information is shown: chart lines carry labels, and data status uses words as well as dots.
- Animation is brief and never blocks content. If your device asks for reduced motion, decorative animation is switched off.
- Pages reflow to 320 pixels wide and support text resizing to 200%.
Known limitations
Headlines on the news wire are written by third-party publishers, and linked articles are outside the Centre’s control.
