SIDIL Partners CEII To Transform Energy Provision In Africa
In a landmark agreement poised to revolutionize the energy landscape in Africa, Synergy Infrastructure Development & Investment Limited (SIDIL), a leading renewable energy company, has partnered with the Centre for Energy Investment and Innovation (CEII).
This collaboration aims to champion decentralised energy provision for nationwide power generation in Nigeria, with potential expansion across the African continent.
The partnership agreement was signed at the CEII corporate head office in Abuja by key figures including Alhassan A. Dantata, the Executive Vice Chairman of SIDIL, Grema Sulaiman, the Director General of CEII, Tosin Sanusi, CEII Director, Partnership And Engagement, among other administrative team members.
Sulaiman emphasises that this partnership aligns with CEII’s mission towards redesigning investment frameworks in Africa, particularly Nigeria with a model that is designed to de-risk investments, ensure asset security, and maintain regulatory compliance.
This strategic approach by both parties of the working agreement is expected to bolster investors confidence and accelerate Africa’s transition to sustainable energy.
Working with SIDIL is a significant step towards achieving our goals,” Sulaiman stated.
Adding, “We are committed to creating a secure investment environment that will attract and retain investors, thereby facilitating the energy transition across Africa while ensuring power generation project will be anchored on the basis of public private partnerships (PPP) integrating national security for our national energy security.
In addition to the partnership, Sulaiman announced the appointment of Alhassan A. Dantata as the Senior Vice President of CEII’s Corporate Planning Division (CPD).
“Dantata, a distinguished businessman with extensive experience in corporate planning, investment, and strategy, has been a pivotal member of the CEII Advisory Board since 2022. His exceptional leadership and expertise have been instrumental in our journey towards shaping the future of energy investment and innovation globally,” Sulaiman noted.
During the signing ceremony, Dantata praised CEII’s efforts in accelerating impactful and sustainable development projects in Africa. He commended Sulaiman’s leadership, describing him as a visionary driving Africa’s energy transition.
